Garden in the sky

This penthouse, located on the second row of buildings from the shore, was bought by a remarried couple in their 60s. A complete redesign was due upon purchase, with the central motif being a rooftop terrace that has been transformed into a roof garden, that extends the living space towards the sea and horizon.

design requirements also focused on comfort, a good flow through the space, bright clean tones, and white walls.

Biophilic thinking inspired the design of the 80 sqm of open terraces, half of which are a planted garden, and thanks to a seamless merging of the outdoor and indoor spaces, the living room seems to stretch and multiply in size.
